So, i moved my 10 week old pullet inside due to these high heats (108!!). I have been supervising the visitations of Libby and the almost 3 week olds for a week now. A little pecking here or there... nothing major to worry about. Well. I put them all in the tub together and after 10 minutes I hear panicked baby noises. The littlest was cowering under the other 2 babies andthe second she was exposed, Libby attacked her hard on the neck!! Repeatedly!!! Immediately took the babies out and put them back in the brooder. Is this problem going to work itself out???
I know when they are older they will have a better chance of dealing with the pecking order. Honestly though.. she was completely honed in on this little one. Advice? Should I rehome the older bird?
