Meat birds - best breed next to Cornish Cross?

I can only find one pic of him and that was when he was little

I know I have another one somewhere of him at about 6 or 7 months old. But here is the younger version 9 weeks old

His feathering and comb lead me to believe that he is a mix. Too much head gear (feathers), and not smooth feathered around his face. I'm wondering if there's a bit of EE mix in his back ground. He doesn't have the smooth feathering characteristic of a leghorn. JMO. Nice looking bird, though.

Egad! Check out that head gear! With those white legs and that crest he is a mix. Definitely one good looking bird!

Thanks, but he is long gone. Had to get rid of him. His legs were actually silver and I had a hen like that too. She layed white eggs, but she was much smaller than he was.
