I am part of a historical reenactment group that is putting on a medieval feast this October. For the main dish we are in need of several large chickens (with heads and necks attached) that will be roasted along with small pigs to create 'cockatrices' for our feast. It will be spectacular - and delicious!

Trouble is, that the people planning the menu JUST decided this recently. If I knew a month ago, I could have raised some meaties, but now it's just too late. We have money in the budget to purchase the birds (I don't know what the exact budget is, but let me know your asking price in your reply and we will work it out). We can even process them ourselves if need be.

We need the chickens ready for the table in the beginning of October, though sooner would be okay as we can freeze them. I am still waiting on an estimate of how many we need, but let me know how many you have for sale.

The group, in case you are curious, is the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) which is a non-profit, educational organization. Here is the link for the local branch I am part of: http://glyndwfn.antir.sca.org/

Please let me know if you can help me out! I would really love to be the one who found the chickens...They already know me as the crazy chicken lady... it would be pitiful to fail at sourcing chickens.
