As many of you know, the destruction from the tornadoes of last week is devastating. As a result, thousands of young meat birds in the southeast were left homeless and hungry with no hope. A local Georgia resident has been working tirelessly to help these birds. Your HELP is desperately needed. These birds are currently located in Paulding County, GA (northwest of Atlanta).
How you can help:
* You can PM me if you are interested in raising some of these birds to feed your family. Tyson is known for having some of the healthiest non-organic chickens. And you still have time to finish them on the feed of your choice. These birds are 30 days old today and will be ready for processing in another 3-4 weeks! They are not cornishX but rather a specific hybrid "Cobb" Chicken (please forgive my lack of knowledge for varieties of meat birds).
* Spread the word....we are talking about FREE CHICKEN = free food
* feed is in very short supply for these birds currently living in temporary housing. The feed mill in Alabama was also hit and is not currently in production. They are hungry little birds. Any contacts for, or donations of feed would be greatly appreciated.
