Does $1.75 per pound, sound to much for whole chicken? or do you think it should be lower like $1.50per,lb? what do you think?

Yesterday I passed through the meat section of my local supermarket and saw a sale of fryers for .79 per LB. I know that roasters would have gone for more and cut fryers for more and breast for over 4.00per LB. I'm not sure if you are buying or selling with your consideration. I don't think we should go with what the market says, because if thats the case our eggs will not be worth it to sell and we know how much better our eggs are than that stuff at the store. But I do like to keep track of what the market has because thats what a lot of people judge by.

I am in WI and I already pre-sold my first batch a $3.25lb.

I have my second batch on order and will be selling for the same. Turkeys I pre-sold 15 or my 18 already at $4.50 lb.

Eggs I sell for $3.25 without egg carton and $3 with a carton per dzn
