Medicated feed and vaccinating for Coccidiosis

This information is for all the new baby chick keepers. If you have had your chicks vaccinated for Coccidiosis,DO NOT use medicated feed as this will counteract vaccine,meaning vaccine becomes null.

Use non-medicated feed with chicks vaccinated for Coccidiosis.

very few retail hatcheries vaccinate for cocci yet but this is good info as it becomes more popular.

And don't just assume if they've "been vaccinated" it's for cocci--check and make sure! Merek's vaccine is much more common, and folks don't realize there are different vaccines--they think one shot covers everything.
