Hi,
So, when we started this journey we didn't know that a duck with a crested head had a defect. It doesn't matter much to us as Bean is doing fine. We will supplement and keep an eye on this little guy but he is truly the character of the bunch. Since I have a birth defect myself, my kids thought it only fitting that we'd be blessed by this little one. LOL. We did a little photoshoot. Bean loves my daughter and snuggles with her every chance he gets. Although, in the picture she looks like a child, she's a freshman so knows that she has to be careful about salmonella and wash well after cuddling with them. She's the reason we are duck owners. She did a 15 slide power point presentation to our family showing us why we needed ducks, and how to care for them. My husband was the last hold out and now he's attached.

Thank you for the welcome yesterday and the niacin advice. I have a feeling I'll be turning to you "the experts" a lot.

Michelle

Awwww so glad to hear about Bean. After reading your post earlier, I'm so glad you are taking care of Bean and those pictures are ADORABLE! I never knew it was a defect either. I'll be on the lookout for them now during chick days.

Very cute that your daughter did a Power Point presentation..hahaha, and it worked!

My daughter has a learning disability and she really wanted ducks even though we were not ready yet (we just moved), but she is loving her ducklings. :love:love:love
