Grounder is still kicking ♡ . A few days back I changed his perch out. I used a wider board and covered it with reptile green felt stuff. His little foot looks swollen and he didn't seem very comfy on his old perch. I'm calling it their new "bed" and him and Monkey are loving it. The swelling is most likely from his heart failure, and I talked with his vet and we are going to slightly increase his one medication. Today was a beautiful day, bright and sunny. Grounder spent his day outside scratching around in the dirt with his hen and of course Jazzy.
My last post. I hope Grounder will live forever in my posts. Sunday 4/20/2025 Grounder fell asleep and never woke up. It been difficult with out him. His hen Monkey still comes inside at night but I will be working on something for her so she has a more natural guinea life with other guineas and Jazzy. I am going to connect two runs together for them so that Jazzy has bird friends and they can come and go through a tunnel.
I know when Grounder got to the rainbow bridge..he passed all the other guineas and went straight to webby. ..those thoughts bring me peace.
