Meet Little Don the Mini Donk!

DH finally got his wish! I found him a mini donk jack to start his mini donk project with.

His name is Don, he's a 2002. He's called a Frosted Spotted Brown. Altho he looks white, he's not...he's sort of like a maximum white overo.

He's just cute as a button, sweet...cart trained even! He needs some hoof rehab and a bath (we didn't get home until about 10 last night with him). He's been fighting with some other jacks and has some bites...but that will resolve shortly.

Ahh... He's so sweet! You said he's a 2002, as in born in 2002? What happened to his hoof that he needs rehab with? He's just so gosh darn cute! Congrats on the new arrival!

Yup, born in 2002. He hasn't had regular hoof care, and is long in the front. His rears are the worst, with underrun heels and looong toes. I'm going to get them x ray'd to make sure there arent any founder issues, but I think it's just overgrowth.

I'm jealous! He's so cute. I have been wanting a mini donkey for a long time but I can't afford one right now. Around here they are sometimes more than a horse!
