"I LOVE LUCY" That's what I thought of when this silkie hatched. She had a red that reminded me of Lucille Ball.
I have to say silkies are an amazing breed.
This little beauty waits st the run dr. Oor every night for me to pick her up, cuddle her a few minutes, have chicken conversation and then set her in her box for the night.
I got this picture the other day after she had a treat and was et enjoying a bit of roaming on the grass.
Tell me she isn't just the cutest thing.

Allie chickens try going through The BYC, buy,sell,trade forum. Breeders usually have some silkies for sale.

Awe...thanks. she's pretty awesome. We actually have 8 seven week olds that we're pretty proud of. A couple that look like Lucy.

Where do you live?

Van Buren ar. We ordered assorted feather foot bantams from Meyer hatchery along with a couple d’uccles so theres always a chance we get a silkie with that order.
And also, after this order of six comes in the thirteenth, we’ll be at maximum chicken capacity unless we buy another coop.

She is adorable !!!!! I have 6 silkies, my newest one was sold to me as a polish hen,(I didn't notice the difference at 1 day), her name is Lucy, named after the same. She's almost 5 weeks now.
