Greetings! I would like to introduce the sweetest little chick to you. Her name is Sweetie Pie because she loves to cuddle and she will crawl around, wrap herself up in my hair then take a nice long nap.
We got her 3 weeks ago this Fri. along with 13 other chicks and 2 ducks. They were all 2 to 3 days old. I had to open my mouth an tell my husband I'd like a baby chick that stayed that size and never grows up.
Talk about be careful what you wish for! 5 days ago I noticed a chick being pushed out of the way, walked over, knocked this way, that way and every way. Soooooo, I stuck her in the pocket of my hoodie and took her in the house. My sweet husband tried to pretend he thought I had finally lost my mind but he fell in love with her right away too.
Sweetie Pie has not even doubled her weight since we got her 3 weeks ago. She eats and drinks plenty, plays with her 2 cage mates and cuddles with me just fine.
She has a duck with leg issues and another chick our granddaughter fell in love with so Grandpa built her a nice big cage so she ca take Butterscotch home. Baby Bop, the duck was not able to get to the feeders due to deformed legs that cause her to go in circles and fall down. Sweetie Pie and Baby Bop have become great friends.
So, has anyone heard of a chicken. Cd#
