Meet the new roo

A neighbor had a couple of extra roosters they needed to rehome, so I agreed to take one of them as a replacement for the previous one I had to cull. He's a good looking bird, but she failed to mention that he's a bantam of some kind. No matter, we went ahead and took him anyway. He should at least be useful as a lookout and yard decoration. Would anyone care to hazard a guess as to his breed? I haven't been able to find anything online that looks just like him.

OK, that's kind of what I was expecting given that he was a product of a mixed flock of various bantams.

I'll give him points for self-confidence. In spite of his diminutive stature and squeak-toy voice he's already taken his place as the dominant flock member, and the girls are falling in line. He might not be large, but he is in charge...at least so far.

He looks like a Gold or Silver Duckwing mix or maybe a Japanese bantam mix. I love bantam roosters. I have a Silver Duckwing rooster and he is so sweet. My family also love him. He lets children hold him without problem.
