I have ordered 3 different orders from Mcmurray over the years and only once had a bad experience. The other 2 times the chicks all made it great. The one time we had problems I believe it was simply too cold to ship. I had ordered in feb to make sure our chicks would be big enough for our county fair. Half the chicks died or were dead on arrival. They sent replacements the next week with 17 leghorn roo packing peanuts and all the babies made it fine. They made good on our order and the birds were satisfactory as far as quality. They were what I expected and the breeds clearly looked like the breed descriptions if a little small. Now I'm hooked on breeder and show stock, but I have to thank Mcmurray for introducing us to chickens and the opportunity to try out so many different breeds to see what we like at cheap prices. I think it depends how they're shipped, whether priority (2-3 days) or express. Less likely to be delayed, etc. The hatchery replaced our entire order. Only one loss this time. They arrived Monday instead of Tuesday.
