Hi, I'm looking for very young melanistic chicks or possibly eggs for hatching.
A raccoon got in my coop last week and tore apart 13 7-week old pheasants... literally tore them apart. One was left dying with a bite into the skull and 4 are missing. I am trying to save the badly injured one but it's completely blind. I guess the raccoon got too full or tired to get the last 9, or the sun came up and it went away. All 10 of my melanistics are dead or gone.
I would appreciate if anyone near Monaca, PA, 15061, who has melanistic chicks or eggs you are willing to sell would contact me.
I am buying a trap today to get the raccoon. We caught him on the game camera last night. The coop flaw is being fixed.
