I have an ~7 month old male call duck who has been aggressively trying to breed almost constantly for the last two months or so. I've had to separate him from the rest of my birds, and I'm trying to find a way to reintegrate him back into my flock without him beating the rest of the birds up. (I have hope for him because when he's not trying to breed he is a very friendly and aloof little guy...) I've read several threads on here about people successfully using melatonin to "calm down" their Pekin drakes. Is this something that anyone on here has tried with call ducks in the past, and if so, what would be an appropriate dosage for such a little guy? Any help would be sincerely appreciated!

Since you have had him out of the flock for a while he maybe bottom of pecking order and not get to mate aggressively once out back in with the rest of your flock?

He is with other call ducks that are about the same age as he is. I did try to separate him before, but he quickly went back to being himself after I put him back.

Some drakes are just over run with Testosterone and I am not sure what will help have you been on any Call duck face book groups maybe someone can help.
