if 2 (or more!) ducks grow up together and are separated once fully grown how long will they be able to remember each other?

Interesting question. Are you just curious?
While I adore my ducks I have been regularly unimpressed with their intelligence.
I had to bring one of my ducks inside and keep her separate from the others for 2 or maybe 3 weeks after her surgery. (It was 3 years ago.) When I took her back out everyone was thrilled to see her.
I have no idea if they would remember one of their flock if you separated them for months or a year, or why you would ever do that.
Ooh, that makes sense. Hopefully that works!we can only have a certain amount of ducks, so we can’t add very many more females. they all (the males and females we have now) all get along perfectly but in the summer my friend is gonna take the girls then give them back to us next winter so the males don’t fight/over mate them.
Ooh, that makes sense. Hopefully that works!
if you do please keep us updated on how it goes!I'm interested in finding out this too... because if this roommate moves out and I'm able to support myself without one. I'm going to get Donella, Isabella, and sodapop back. Even if it takes work to reintroduce, I want my girls back.
Honestly, once I get a job - I'm going to work on getting them back... I worked so hard to get isa and Donella to trust me - and fancy died protecting Isa. This roommate thing isn't worth my sanity.
