Hey Everyone so around 2 days ago a goose came to our pond and was acting very strange so the next day he walk all the way to the main road so me and my dad walked out there and slowly walked behind the goose trying to get him back to the pond so after a while the goose just layed down so my dad gentle picked him up and we carried him back to the pond and he just layed there :( We don't have a vet around here that will take him what should I do to help him? He seems very weak and doesn't seem to know what he is doing. Please help Me find away to help him I really don't want him to die

Well, it could be so many things. Is there any indication of respiratory illness? Have you seen his poops and do they look 'normal'? Do you have a wildlife center you could get him to? I would be sure he isn't anywhere near your birds, or near where your birds go.

Is he acting "drunk"? Head waving, stumbling, not eating/drinking/peeping/honking? Usually once a goose is down, they're out. And without a vet there isn't much you can do except get it vitamins and keep it clean.

There are home remedies a few members here know about, they'll jump in eventually.

Thank you for trying to save this goose, I take it you're young? You have an amazing heart <3

Thank you and yes I am 13 years old and have lots of animals that I love so very much :) And yes he is acting just like you said I am really nervous I really don't him to die:(

Is he tufted? That can sometimes predispose birds to brain damage. I had a tufted goose for a short time, but she died due to brain damage.

Could be he ate something toxic also is this a domestic goose of Canada? I'll get you the thread to the flushes.

Best to keep him safe and give him plenty of fresh water and feed. If you decide on a flush follow directions to the T.
