Merging Ducks

Hello, i have 3 muscovy ducks, i want to add three more hens so that i will have 1 drake and five hens. how easy will it be to merge this duck to be free range during the day and be locked in a coop at night like the other three i have.How will i train them to come in at night?

Any help would be awesome.

I think folks do this quite frequently. I have Runners and Buffs, so I will let the Muscovy people offer their wisdom - I do know if you get adults, they need to be kept penned for a while so that they know this is home.

And I know from my own flock that having the new ducks penned side by side with the existing flock helps them become acquainted without being able to shove each other around. And that offering treats to both groups at the same time can help smooth things out. My newer ducks seem to learn routines from the others.
