I was wondering if anyone had ever heard of or tried the Metabolic Research Centers? I was listening to my favorite radio station and they claimed to have a guarantee of losing 2-5 lbs. per week and they had a guarantee that they would help you get to your ideal weight for your body type.

I'm debating using it because I'm sort of stuck in a rut. When I exercise, I only gain weight. I have no idea why? No matter what type of exercise, it's immediate weight gain.


Anyway, I've changed my diet, changed everything practically, but am stuck at going ridiculously slow. Has anyone tried this and if so, were you successful at all?
 
If your food has more than 4 ingredients that may be the problem. i gain when I exercise too. Never even heard of that you are talking about.
 
I've never heard of a Metabolic Research Center either, but I would be wary of it, I think. I hate to come off like I'm endorsing a "diet" but last year I had my cholesterol check and it was HIGH. My doctor recommended that I look at The South Beach Diet, and let me tell you what, I lost 15 pounds in the first two weeks. Within six months my cholesterol was normal, and I hadn't gained any weight back. I've backed off of the heavy use of artificial sweeteners it recommends (I've started using Agave nectar and Stevia instead) but other than that I still stick to it. Now I still have some weight to loose, but then again, I've not been very strict on my portion control, that's me, not the food.
