Metal coop?

I agree with Alaskan on it 'being more headache than you want'. Also about the condensation. I remember sitting in a deer blind, that only had a metal roof, no insulation, and after the ice started melting, getting rained on inside the blind from all the condensation. Believe me, I did not enjoy sitting there in the cold, getting wet. You can imagine how your chickens would feel like. I also have a 16'x16' shed that I use for a workshop and washroom, metal roof only, and in South Texas, it can get really hot and that metal roof does not help any, with an 8' ceiling. So I'm insulating it, as well. Of course, you have to do what you can afford, I understand that. It took me about 3 months to get the money together to build my lil 4'x'4'x 8' coop at the cost of about $1,000.00 but it was worth it and it's a one-time deal. :)
