Metzer and crested ducks

sorry, I’m full of questions.

I just read in a different group about someone getting a crested duck when they didn’t order one. Is this a concern with Metzer? I really don’t want a crested duck at all. I ordered six to arrive next week but I would not be happy if any were crested.

We've ordered ducklings from Metzer's before and none of them arrived as crested.

I know they do breed white crested ducks at Metzer's, though. Is it possible the other individual ordered an assortment of ducklings or received an extra baby? Sometimes they include them. Or was this a purebred with an unexpected crest?

I’m not sure. I asked the same but no answer yet. I trust this page the most so thought I’d ask here.

Thank you! This is what I needed to hear. I thought I’d done enough research and picked the best place to get my new ducks from but had a moment of panic last night

If you were to get an unexpected crested, I’m positive Metzer would make it right. I ordered 5 ducks and 1 gosling, and the gosling died in transit. They sent me a new gosling free, and would have sent a free duck as a travel buddy too if I hadn’t decided to order several goslings.
