Ok, it is to that point where we HAVE to try to get rid of the mouse infestation. Advice to keep them out of the coop?????? No cat though

Do you know how they are getting in. I had mice climbing up 8 ft to squeeze through small openings in rafters ..so I but a couple bars of Irish spring soap at they're access point. I read somewhere it deters mice and it worked! Just have to make sure chickens can't get to them

I've also tried putting a pallet with traps and a little food under it .That worked cause the chickens couldn't get to the traps and try to keep food bowls outside if possible. That helped me too

First off no feed inside the coop that should make them leave. I have tried many times to figure out how to keep them away outside the coop but it's very hard to make sure all feed has been cleaned up. So as long as they aren't inside the coop I just do the best I can outside. My ducks will dine on mice to if given the chance. I don't leave feed out over night either.

Rat snake worked for me. If you don't want cats don't know how you feel about snakes. They will dine on the little ducklings though.
