What are you doing to handle the mice around your coops. I had a huge mouse dart from under my coop into the ground under the fence. Very big and dark brown. No it was not a chipmunk or red squirrel.

I am on 5 acres. Seriously, how can you do anything when the entire area has chicken feed and poop around? I think it's just inevitable.

What do think? Thank You!

You can contain the chicken feed inside the coop so there's minimal things to attract them, you can put mouse traps in boxes with mouse-sized holes so the chickens can't get to the traps, and you can accept that there will always be mice. Unless they're getting into your coop and making a mess, or eating all the feed, you might just want to let them be.
