My name is Liz G. from minnesota

I grew up on a hobby farm that raised chickens for company and bug control. I once went to a friends farm when they were butchering chickens and it scared me for life.

Right now I have 7 ladies who lay us breakfast every day and enough to spair for our neighbors and one bantam turken with the cutest little blue eggs.

I have always thought it would be awesome to have a group of friends who also have the same love for these beautiful animals.

Besides feeding my ladies and cuddling my turken I love to paint, and oddly enough i have started painting chickens. I am trying to make a large collection of different breeds and I was offered the walls of my local coffee shop to sell and display my work. (giving eggs to people important is always a good thing

My grandmother was the one who really got me to love chickens, they bought 50 or so from the McMurry catalog and gave me 10 of the bantams as my own. One of them, a little girl Black Cochin loved me from the moment we first met, i named her Marco Polo because she loved to climb from the floor to the couch to the top of my head. I had her for two years and she became less like a chicken and more like a person than anyone coul have guessed. She knew her name, came when called and had VERY good table manners and was invited in the house all the time. She had a very untimly death but my love for her found me more little Cochins that formed a bond in my heart.

I currently dont have a really close pet, my turkin isnt very found of people but she does love her neck rubbed and feathers cleaned.

:O boy i sure had alot to say XD
I have only hatched a few eggs but i used the original mother as the incubator XD I never had luck with electric ones

But if anything, i am just a woman who fell in love with those beady eyes and kissable beask.
