Came home this evening to find one of my Midget White hens dead. I've noticed that she didn't lay an egg for the last couple of days but other than that all seemed well. No weird droppings, no sniffles, everybody eating and drinking.....and then dead. Now on my other hen, who is also behaving like she's just as healthy as can be, I've noticed a BIG round, raised area on the back of her neck. Looks like she has a knob sticking out of her neck. Can't find one like that on the dead hen but is this something to be worried about?
