Migrating Hawks?

So I stepped outside minute ago and saw what I think was a flock , 70 or so hawks I think. It was getting dark so I could not see very well but the size and shape were about right. We live in a very popular area for migrating birds of all kinds. I've even seen the Sandhill cranes! But I've never seen hawks this way. Did I see this or was it some other kind of bird?
 
Hawks migrate. The Cooper’s hawk is one example. So are the Broadwinged hawks. Both will migrate through Kentucky. You have the Cooper’s hawks there so they may be returning. Probably Red-tail hawks as well.
