I'm pretty sure they can't since they don't naturally produce milk. I wouldn't recommend giving them any.

When I acquire some out of code milk (past code, but not rotten) I mix some chicken feed with it to make a mash, and serve it to the flock as a little calcium and protein boost.

Many people feed yogurt to their flocks. Back in the day skim milk was a bi-product of the dairy industry, and was fed to other livestock such as chickens and pigs.

Well, I can't claim to have invented the idea....but it seems to work.

Then again, I do lots of things other chicken owners may NOT do.

When I had the in-town chickens I was working at a produce stand and my flock got all the wormy parts of the corn that had to be trimmed off.
