How many days should I wait to milk my Nubian after her giving birth?

You will get a lot of opinions on this one.

Some people take the babies and bottle feed them after the first day or two but I don't.

You need to let the baby suck to bring her into heavy milk, especially if it is a first time milker.

Nothing can bring in the milk heavier and faster than a sucking kid.

After the kids get a good start you can then begining milking once a day. after they are weaned at 8 weeks or so you can then milk twice a day.

That's what I am currently doing. I didn't milk regularly until they were about 2wks old (I only milked before that to even out the doe because the babies were only nursing one side). I was milking once a day, but now that I am putting the babies up at night, I milk when I put them away and then again when she wakes me up yelling that she needs to be milked (usually about 5am). The milk I get at night is hardly anything, but I get a fair amount in the morning.
