Mille Fleur Cochin Breeding Plan?

I saw many beautiful Mille Fleur Cochins and I was thinking of starting too! So what exactly do you do to keep the standard body of the cochin but still get the Mille Fleur coloring? How do you breed the generation back? What kind of stock is best for using? When can you tell if the quality is bad in the Mille Fleur Cochin? Do you know how to get the feather footed out? I was thinking of doing two strains: 1 without feathered feet and the 2nd with feathered feet.

PS - Feathered feet are a breed requirement of all Cochin varieties.

Was going to say the same thing There are several mf colored clean legged birds out there already..if you want a small one clean legged that is pretty mellow look into the mf leghorns...ours were real sweet not flighty although lf they are leghorn sized
The quality of the MF Cochin should be the same as any other color..it's a project but that is the goal..come join us crazy people over on the MF thread....
