Mille fleur d uccle missing feathers in beard section

My little hen is missing feathers where her beard should be. We just got them about a month ago and it doesn't seem to be growing back at all.
I'm sorry for not posting pics. I am getting ready for bed and I wanted to ask about this. The patch is about the size of maybe a quarter I guess
Again, sorry for no pics. I just figured maybe someone might know what's going on??

Look her over closely for beard mites. They eat the beards right off of birds. A good dusting is probably in order. Sometimes other birds will pick the beards off as well, so something to keep an eye out for.

I haven't noticed any of my birds picking at her, but maybe at her old place she was picked on. Still would have thought her beard would be growing back by now.
I don't mind dusting them. I will check threads to see what I need to dust them with. I am new and still have a lot to learn. Good thing we all have this site though.

make sure she is not ripping it ou hersself by accident such as getting it stuck and pulling *rip* ouch....that happened to one of my chickens
