Hatched Feb 18th (so about 3.5 months old).

This guy used to be fairly friendly but has entered his teenager mode. He runs away like a crazy chicken if I try to touch him. *If* I can catch him, he will sit quietly in my lap.

Previously he was challenging the other roosters in the bunch multiple times every day. I wasn't too worried since he is the smallest...If anyone was at risk of getting injured, it was him. The other guys are fairly mellow. However, I'm in the process of trying to integrate a few new 5 week old babies, including 2 boys. After letting them all see each other for the last week, I tried some supervised mingling today. Had I not been there, I'm confident he would have killed or severely injured the new boys, and he was not friendly with the baby girls either (though he acted less murderous towards them).
I was already considering re-homing him, and this just made the decision for me.

I would not recommend him as a "pet" chicken unless you are experienced and don't have small kids. While I'm not completely against him going to someone who wants a chicken dinner, keep in mind that he is a bantam (and a small one at that) and won't exactly make a great meal.

I can bring him to just about anywhere in the Austin area if someone is interested in taking him.
