[Easter eggers]

one of my mille fluer cockrels tore up his tail feathers and i want to show him its not bad but my question is will they be fixed when he preens?

hard to say without pics.did the feathers just get messed up or did they get torn up. torn up will take at least 8 weeks after the feather drops out.

When is the show? If the feathers are permanently damaged, they will remain in that state until he grows new featehrs in his next molt. Or you can pluck them out and they will start re-growing immediately. It takes at least 6 weeks to grow feathers, and tail feathers can take a lot longer.
