Yesterday and today she has been sitting on 3 wooden eggs, she will let me pick her up but fluffs up and talks to me sternly. She hasn't laid an egg for the past 2 days and she isn't leaving the nest even to roost. Silly chicken, she is my only laying hen, should have more start soon but I don't want her to be broody, I know I will probably slap myself later for thinking that. So how long will she stay broody? I don't think my roo's are doing the deed yet so her eggs wouldn't even be fertile. Now is when I need to some lemon blue cochin eggs. Anyhow Millie is about 9 months old, a Millie Fleur Duccle and is so beautiful and sweet.

Sounds broody to me. You could try to break her. There are several posts on here about how to break a broody. I have two that I couldn't break that are setting now. Good luck!
