mine and the kids weekend project

me and the kids throw this together in a couple of weekends out of a old dogs house we had setting around we have 6 asst. reds (whatever that means) kind of new at this. was wondering what everone thought. is 2 nestbooks good for 6 hens, hoping there all hens if not bbq this summer.

2 next boxes should be fine for 6 hens, but odds are if you picked out of an assorted reds bin (I am guessing from a farm supply store) then you will definitely get some boys....because most of the time those are straight run chicks which can mean more than 50% could be boys. or at least that is what a lot of people say

but the hens that you do get will be great egg machines!

Fabulous job! I think it looks great, and the kids now have something to be super proud of.

But I got to say, in that picture it looks more like a Chihuahua then a red hen!

Lol I'm have a vent on the top of each end I'm going to see how it works might need to add more think I'm going to make a steen to put in door when it's open on hot days I have to put together some perches in it yet any ideas. I'll post more pics as we go
