miniature egg

today i got a mini egg from one of my chickens. its

why was this small egg laid and if i put it in with my broody hen what are the probabilities of it hatching

I had the same thing happen not too long ago. I was told it is called an "egg fart". Most of these eggs are yolkless, so I would say your odds of hatching it are near 0.

i candled it and it looks like theres a yolk

I think someone else went ahead and incubated a "wind/fart" egg and the baby hatched out tiny. They had it standing on top of a coin in a picture. I suppose you can set it and see what happens.
