Minimum Order Fiasco

I was interested in driving to pick up 4 bantam and 4 standard size chicks next May from Meyer Hatchery. I know every website has a minimum for shipping (usually 15 birds). Is it the same if I pre-order my birds and drive to get them?

I don't think they take orders this far in advance.

I would contact them, some hatcherys don't allow pick ups due to biosecurity, best to check. Though Meyers lowers their minimum order number during certain months.

Don't know about Meyer but Ideal does offer pick up your own order ONLY at their offices in town. You are not allowed on the farm/hatchery due to biosecurity concerns. You only save on shipping, which with Ideal is minimal, so it might not make much since for a small order.
