I noticed most hatcheries have a 25 m/o
What do you all do with the extra chickens when you dont have space for that many?
I wouldnt mind ordering 25 but I think my max for my coop/run is around 20

hello.

try mypetchicken.com they are super! they have a min order of just 3. depending on your location , 5 is best.
i also believe mcmurrayhathery.com also has a small ordering number.
i would not order 25 and only need 20?

the problem lies in shipping, no greed of the sellers, not that yall are saying that.
But day olds MUST have enough body heat in the box to survive the trip or it's all for nothing.
Our min on bantams is 20, larger breeds 10 (turkeys and ducks)
also we only ship express mail, way too many chicks get lost in those 2-4 day priority mail trips, and we also use 72 hour heat packs on all orders. With all this, very seldom do we ever loose a chick in shipping. I think maybe 6 turkeys last year and 2-3 bantams, out of thousands. More importantly, they arrive live and strong and survive, not alive but weak and near death and die on you over the corse of a weeks time.
Wish all hatcheries would at least start offering express as an option. Every chick order I have ever bought always is Priority, take 3 days and half are dead in the box or within a few days, express will avoid all that!
