A great idea if I had the room. Back yard is 50x30. Setback puts the coop in the only place it can go. I’m attaching three photos. Facing the coop site from my back step. Left is east fence burlap wrapped arborvitae, garage and patio, right side walk to SW corner of the fence. Narrow strip is staked out coop site.
That's not enough space. What are your setbacks?

On the farm my chickens were free range. Sometimes coop confined in part of a large barn. I decided to have my 5 hens, no matter what. So I started the process. Permit requirements completed and I got my permit, My coop setup isn’t ideal but it is what it is.
Hey keep this discussion going, never too old to learn something new.
How do I start a thread on a new topic?

Well, I guess all you can do is give the chickens your garage. 😇
