Mint?

Is it ok for chickens to eat? Does it affect the taste of the eggs? I have it growing all over my yard and was wondering if I need to keep them away from it or just let them at it. I get the chicks in 1.5 weeks.

Mint flavored eggs, those could be interesting...

But I don't know. Mine don't eat the mint around my yard. Although I probably wouldn't stop them if they tried.

Our chickens completely wiped out all our mint plants. We had 3 different kinds growing. It did not affect the taste or quality of their eggs. The worst thing it did was tick me off that all my mint was gone. Hehehe.

That might not be a bad idea. I have mint that I just can't get rid of in my veggie garden, hopefully my chickies will take care of it before I get to planting, but steer them clear of the mint I use to make tea.
I am glad to know it won't hurt them or do any odd tasting to the eggs.
