Missing a leg from Hock joint down

So i recently got a chicken that im trying to take care of that is missing its leg from the hock joint down i don't know how recent it happened but i am wrapping it with gauze and spraying it with an anti bacterial spray to try to keep it clean are there any other measures that i can take that would give this chicken the best chances
