missing claw

Just noticed one of my new pullets is missing a claw. Just wondering if this might be a birth defect? Has anyone seen this often? Will it affect her walking or scratching as she gets older?

Just noticed one of my new pullets is missing a claw. Just wondering if this might be a birth defect? Has anyone seen this often? Will it affect her walking or scratching as she gets older?

Ive had chickens loose toenails before, and one chicken has an unnaturally short toenail(basically a nub). It doesn't affect them at all. She could be born that way, or tore it off at one point, but it shouldnt bother her at all!
