I went out to feed my (2) 7 month old peacocks today and I noticed that their crests on top of their heads (hope i'm using the correct term) are missing. What do you think could have happened to them? Will their crests grow back? If so, how long will it take? They are in a locked cage that is secure so there is no way that anything could have gotten in to get to them. Could they have picked each other?

Yes, the crest will grow back. They are pulling each others out get some anti pick for poultry and put a little on there heads they may or may not stop doing it.

Its the pecking order!

If both are missing ,maybe the molt. They will peck them off, if one still has his, he is the one pecking

They molt at 7 months old?

In your location , my guess they will be getting their adult feathers(yearly). Bet alot of the southern birds are getting their full trains even.
