Missing eggs?

It's been winter around here, a very sloggy, rainy, no snow winter. My girls recently started laying again, but then stopped. At first I wasn't concerned, because the heat lamp burned out and it hasn't been sold enough for me to bother to replace it. But recently I suspected they had a secret clutch somewhere. They did it once a couple summers ago, and I picked them in their coop for awhile till they got used to staying inside again. I tramped around this morning, looking in the spots they had hidden it before. The coop is right next to a fence corner in which a big, dead, brambly tree hangs. It is on the edge of a pasture, so a lot of tumbleweed is accumulated there. I found Annie's three eggs, a bit away from the tree in a different spot than last time. (I forgot to mention, Honey laid her eggs with Brown last time.) They weren't rotten. I can't find Honey's eggs though. Is there anything I can do to find them? I already got as close as possible to the tree and pulled brambles around (Now I'm super itchy). Help!

I have a hen currently hiding eggs in our shed. I have to follow her when I see her going that way and then listen for where she's hiding. It's ridiculous. Is there any place in particular that hen likes to spend her time?

That's the main place they hang out because it's right next to the coop. They do wander a little but I don't think they would lay their eggs so far abroad, and it's too open and public

They did it once a couple summers ago, and I picked them in their coop for awhile till they got used to staying inside again.

Might need to do taht again.

I just found a hidden clutch of eggs this morning, around 14 or so eggs! Didn't know how far along they were so I had to crack them and toss em' away..... none of them formed yet, thank goodness, or else I would feel guilty.
