Has anyone had a rooster that pulls the feathers out of the hens? I do and not sure what to do. This rooster pulled the feathers out of the backside of a hens neck and head that we could see the neck bone. The chicken survived and the skin grew back but it eventually died, I believe of old age. Now he's pulling the feathers out of four of our girls! Short of getting rid of the male how do we stop this?
Try putting Pin Less Peepers on him. If that doesn't work find a recipe for Coq au vin.
