Hello all.
I have 2 male Pekin ducks. The one has missing feathers on back of his neck. I have no females and am unable to get females. They have been fine for awhile but this morning one was missing feathers. Do I need to separate them or is this something that will heal on its own with them together? It’s a little worse tonight with some more missing feathers. I did clean the area and apply some vetericyn wound gel along with peck no more. This is my first mating season with ducks and so far it’s been ok. Please help calm this worried duck momma. I don’t want it to get worse and I don’t know if ducks are like chickens and will just keep pecking until they are dead and I don’t want that to happen.
