missing hen is back

I have 8 hens and 1 rooster. Three weeks ago one of my hens disappeared. Two days ago we discovered her in the backyard of one of our neighbors ( who NEVER goes in their backyard). She lost a lot of weight and is weak, but is eating and drinking and getting stronger each day. The problem is the rooster and 3 of the other hens are picking on her. We are keeping her in a pen away from the others. I need some suggestions on how to introduce her back into the flock. Help please

Did you check your neighbors yard for chicks? Sounds very much like broody behaviour.

We did and found no chicks.

If you put the lead hen in with her for a couple of days and then reintroduce them together she should find it easier to inter grate back into the flock.

3 weeks is exactly 21 days. I would keep looking for chicks. Good Luck!

May want to let her out for a few days there may be chicks somewhere and they prolly won't survive on their own.
