Missing toe or just a nail?

I have a Silkie that hatched yesterday AM and he has 2 missing toes..or maybe just a toenail? Either way the little one doesn't have 3 "long" toes on each foot like his siblings. As I've been reading this is kinda a "norm" for Silkies?? He seems to walk okay but when he's standing still getting ready to fall a sleep his feet slip out from under him, is this spraddle leg? and should I split him for this or let him go since he walks okay? He'll tip backwards at times like he's off balance. Just want to do what I can for him. Out of 7 silkie eggs I only had 3 hatch and want them to be HAPPY!!! Thanks for any advice!

I look forward to the answes you get on this, as I have some d'uccles that have missing toenail areas? However they are all doing awesome and running and playing.
