Well I finally got two from ebay, but they were "too hot"....so I had to modify it a little...

Firstly I took of the dial used to set the thermostat.

Then I looked at the workings of it. I noted the little hexagonal bolt half way down the copper peace. This little bolt goes right through and touches a bar which goes onto the thermostat disk underneath.

Turning the bolt 3/4 of a turn has the thermostat set between 36degC and 38degC. Perfect.

Now back to seting humidity.
 
darn thing crackles on the TV when it makes and breaks the circuit...its not a fast process, it fizzes on and off...

It's annoying when your watching TV.

Wifey thinks the electrician next door doing the new house.
