Open Contest Mister BYC Beauty Pageant—Official 2025 BYC Mini-Contest

Mr Henry out with the kids; no it wasn't Sunday.:p
Of course he looks a little worse for wear. Twenty bickering hens to keep in order, predators to deal with, humans who think he should be some cuddly pet and the constant demands on his attention are bound to take their toll.
He was gorgeous and what a man!

So cute! I love seeing roosters with chicks. Mr. Henry looks like a doting father :).

Could you please edit your post to include his age, color, and breed or species (see rule two). Thank you!

Because they have Plymouth in their breed my mom named all my hens and pullets Pocahontas so my mom just had to name my Cockerel John Smith
I love it! I have named all my canaries after singers, because... well... singers! I've had Donovan, Louie (Armstrong) Rudi (Tutti Frutti - because he was dark orange), Bo Diddley, J J Cale, Sammy Hagar (also orange), and now I have Bob Dylan.

This is Lulea. He hatched 27 April, so he's about 6 1/2 months old now. He's a black based Swedish Flower.

Edited to add another one, of him from the front

The patchy feathering below the wattles is a consequence of losing a chunk of skin there (to a rat, probably) when he was little.

Arie (aka Black Beard)
5 months
Barn yard Mix
white, black, wheat, emerald

Arie recently won the pageant of his life. He was chosen by a group of 12 spunky hens to be their leader. The four unlucky contenders were Arie's hatch mates. Besides Arie's striking good looks he is courteous to his girls and has never attacked the human that brings their food.
