i've seen a lot of posts about dust baths, just wondering if anyone has tried these hanging mite protectors for indoor caged birds, in your coops. i was thinking about hanging 2 or 3 of them but wanted some feedback.
I don't know about that. It's one of those odor/pesticide things and I'm not sure what the potential for respiratory ailments might be. You need to avoid cedar shavings (and even strongly scented pine shavings) for that reason, so I don't see how this could be considered any safer/less irritating.
It also notes to keep away from heat, as I'm guessing it'd result in excessive off-gassing. So if you shut these up with your chickenss in the coop on a hot summer night...what would happen? Mid-day heat? I think that use may be considered inconsistent with product labeling, anyway.
